Dr. Yee Chao
Dr. Chao was Director of Department of Oncology of Taipei Veterans General Hospital. He also holds the academic position, Professor of Medicine at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University. Dr Chao is board certified in internal medicine, gastroenterology and medical oncology.
He obtained his Bachelor of medical science from Kaohsiung Medical College and went on to do his Ph.D. at the Institute of Clinical Medicine of National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University.
He has received numerous awards for his academic and clinical endeavours, including Clinical Teaching Merit Citation from Taipei Veterans General Hospital. He has authored and co-authored over 250 scientific manuscripts published in peer-review journals.
Professor Carmay Lim
Dr. Lim was a Distinguished Research Fellow at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, Academia Sinica, and a joint-appointed Professor in the Chemistry Department at National Tsing Hua University. She earned her Ph.D. degree in Chemical Physics from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, and pursued postdoctoral research at AT&T Bell Laboratories, Murray Hill, and Harvard University.
Dr. Lim has held faculty positions in the Departments of Medical Genetics, Biochemistry, and Chemistry at the University of Toronto before being recruited to Taiwan in 1995. Her career is marked by many awards, including the Outstanding Scholar Award from the Foundation for the Advancement of Outstanding Scholarship (2003), the Ministry of Education Academic Award (2009), and the Ministry of Science and Technology Outstanding Research Award (1998, 2013, 2018). Most recently, she was honored with the Fukui Medal (2023).
Dr. Lim’s research contributions have resulted in over 190 publications, including invited reviews in reputable journals such as Chemical Reviews. Additionally, she serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of several journals and was a past board member for journals such as the Journal of American Chemical Society.
